Vance: We are confident that Israel will go along with the US-Iran agreement
Despite public statements by Israeli officials opposing the initial agreement reached between Iran and the US, especially regarding the Lebanese front, the US Vice President claimed that the regime will accept understandings as it continues.
JD Vance stated that “what we know is that this agreement will make Israel safer and the entire region safer,” adding, “What I have seen is a lot of misinformation about this agreement.”
In response to a question about Trump’s public criticism of Netanyahu in recent days, Vance also said that “Israel is often a good partner for us and we have common interests, but sometimes we have disagreements on certain issues, which is completely understandable. Even with our closest allies, from Britain to Israel, we sometimes have disagreements.”
