Araqchi: End of war in Lebanon and Iran is interdependent
Kabul Times News | Iran
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has emphasized in his latest statements that the ongoing developments and conflicts in Iran and Lebanon are linked to each other and the future of these two fronts cannot be examined separately.
Araqchi said in a speech: “Either the war will end simultaneously in Lebanon and Iran, or it will not end on either of these two fronts. The fate of Iran and Lebanon in this battle is tied to each other from beginning to end.”
These statements come at a time when regional tensions between Iran, Israel, and Tehran’s allied groups in Lebanon continue and concerns about the spread of conflicts in the Middle East have increased.
Emphasizing the strategic link between Tehran and its allies in Lebanon, the Iranian Foreign Minister once again stated the Islamic Republic’s position on the direct connection between regional developments and Iran’s security and national interests; A matter that Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized in recent years.
Political analysts believe that these statements carry a clear message to the conflicting parties and international powers; a message that shows that Tehran evaluates any political solution or agreement to end the regional crises in a broader framework that is relevant to all the conflicting fronts.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and prevent the spread of war in the region continue, but so far there has been no sign of reaching a comprehensive agreement to end the conflicts.
Araqchi's statements indicate that from Tehran's perspective, developments in Lebanon and Iran directly affect each other and any change in one of these fronts can affect regional equations.
