Freedom Front claims heavy clashes with Taliban continue in Zibak district of Badakhshan

The Afghan Freedom Front has announced that its forces, commanded by Salahuddin Pamir, a former commander of the Special Police Forces, have launched a large-scale operation against Taliban positions in Zibak district of Badakhshan province since Friday.

According to the front, clashes are ongoing along the borders of Badakhshan and since yesterday, heavy fighting, including artillery fire, has engulfed parts of Zibak district.

The Freedom Front claims that despite the large presence of Taliban forces, forces under the command of Salahuddin Pamir have continued to fight and have prevented the expansion of Taliban control over some areas.

As of the time of publication of this report, Taliban officials have not commented on these clashes and Kabul Times News is also unable to independently confirm the details, extent of the clashes or the claims made by the Freedom Front
