Traffic accident in Badakhshan; two killed, eight injured

Two people were killed and eight others were injured after a car overturned in the Kof-Ab district of Badakhshan.

Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesman for the Taliban's Badakhshan police command, said that the incident occurred before dawn today in the "Shakhr" area of ​​the Kof-Ab district, and as a result of the overturning of a Land Cruiser, two people were killed and eight others were injured.

This incident occurs at a time when Badakhshan is one of the provinces rich in minerals in Afghanistan and the Taliban earn significant income from mining in the province, but many of its roads are still substandard and unsafe, and it witnesses deadly traffic incidents every year.
