Kabul Times News | Khost
Two people were killed and three others were injured after two vehicles collided in the “Do Sarka” area of Ismail Khel and Mandoza districts of Khost province.
The Taliban police command in Khost announced that the incident occurred on Sunday morning and was caused by a high-speed collision between a vehicle and a “Mazda” vehicle.
The injured in the incident have been transferred to health centers for treatment. No further details have been released about the identities of the victims and their health conditions.
This incident comes at a time when statistics indicate an increase in traffic accidents in Afghanistan. According to information collected, at least 26 people died in traffic accidents and 86 others were injured between July 5 and 11 alone.
Excessive speed, carelessness of drivers, failure to comply with traffic laws, and the poor condition of some roads are among the most important factors behind the increase in these accidents.
