Bibi Siddiqa’s family: Taliban propose handing her over to the plaintiff for three days

Sources close to Bibi Siddiqa’s family say that Taliban officials in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province have proposed handing Bibi Siddiqa over to Khodaynazar, the plaintiff in the case, for three days in order to end her case through “peace.”
According to the family, this proposal was made by the Bala Murghab district governor, but they have completely rejected it and considered it contrary to justice, law, and human dignity.
A number of legal experts and human rights defenders have also called this proposal without legal basis and warned that such a move could violate fundamental rights, human dignity, and the rights of the child.
Bibi Siddiqa’s family says that despite nearly two years of her arrest and previous orders for her release on bail, she is still being held in prison. They also criticized the lack of an independent fact-finding mission to investigate the case and called for a transparent investigation, the immediate release of Bibi Siddiqa, and justice in accordance with the law.
The Taliban have not yet officially responded to these allegations, and Kabul Times News has not been able to independently verify the details.
