42 new mines discovered in Panjshir; New opportunities for investment and employment

42 new mines of precious and semi-precious stones, including emerald, tourmaline and green garnet, have been identified and established in Panjshir province; a move that can expand the scope for investment and create job opportunities in the province.

According to published information, these mines include 28 emerald mines, 12 green garnet mines and two tourmaline mines in the districts of Annaba, Hessa Awal and Paryan.

Economic experts believe that the start of extraction from these mines, in addition to increasing investment in the mining sector, can help create employment and boost economic activities in Panjshir.

Panjshir is one of the richest provinces in Afghanistan in the precious and semi-precious stones sector, and emerald, tourmaline, green garnet and birouj mines are considered the most important mineral resources of the province.
