World Food Program: More than 1,600 tons of food arrived in Afghanistan

The World Food Program (WFP) has announced that after a long hiatus, more than 1,600 tons of food have arrived in Afghanistan.

The organization said that with the arrival of this shipment, it will be possible to provide nutritional services to about 80,000 children and 25,000 mothers in needy areas.

The arrival of this aid is taking place while Afghanistan is still facing a humanitarian crisis and widespread food insecurity. Despite the government's claims about improving the economic and livelihood situation, millions of Afghan citizens still depend on humanitarian aid to meet their basic needs.

International organizations have repeatedly warned that the ongoing economic crisis, drought and reduced financial resources have kept the need for humanitarian aid in Afghanistan at a high level.
