Along with the escalation of tensions between Iran and the United States, the price of liquefied gas in Kabul markets has increased significantly, increasing citizens’ concerns about the rising cost of living.
A number of Kabul residents say that the price of liquefied gas has been on an upward trend in the past two months, increasing economic pressure on families. According to them, the price of one kilogram of gas, which was previously between 50 and 55 Afghanis, has now reached about 88 to nearly 100 Afghanis.
Also, the price of a 10 to 11 kilogram liquefied gas cylinder, which was previously sold for about 530 Afghanis, has now exceeded 800 Afghanis.
Citizens are asking the authorities to take immediate measures to prevent further price increases and control the market.
