Family alleges disappearance of young girl and her transfer to Pakistan; allegations against relatives of Taliban governor in Samangan
Kabul Times News | Samiullah Jahesh Report
The family of a young girl from Faryab province claims that their daughter was transferred to Pakistan after disappearing in Kabul, and the case involves the names of some people close to the Taliban governor in Samangan province.
Based on information provided to the media by the girl’s family, “Nasima”, a 19-year-old girl and resident of Pakhal-Soz village in Garziwan district of Faryab province, had married a man named “Siqal” known as “Ikrimah” about two years ago, who is said to be the brother of one of the Taliban governor’s bodyguards in Samangan.
According to family members, after this marriage, Nasima faced problems and domestic violence and was transferred to a hospital in Kabul for treatment some time ago. Her family says that Nasima went missing in Kabul’s Deh Afghan area on 25 Saur 1404 (545 GMT) after being discharged from the hospital and has not returned home since.
Qari Hafizullah, Nasima’s father, claims that after his daughter disappeared, he approached various Taliban institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, but according to him, his follow-ups have yielded no results.
The girl’s family also claims that they have clues that show that Nasima has been transferred to the Pakistani city of Quetta. They have also provided the media with a picture that, according to the family, shows Nasima next to a person who is described as the brother of the Taliban governor in Samangan. However, Kabul Times News has not independently verified the authenticity of the picture or the claims made about it.
Nasima's father says that he has faced financial difficulties and a lot of pressure during the process of pursuing this case and has lost a significant part of his assets.
The girl's family has asked the responsible institutions, human rights organizations and international organizations to investigate the fate of Nasima and cooperate in clarifying the dimensions of this case.
As of the publication of this report, Taliban officials in Samangan and the responsible institutions of this group have not issued an official response to the allegations made.
Kabul Times News emphasizes that all the allegations made in this report are based on the statements of Nasima's family.
