Local sources in western Kabul report that one of the residents of the area was subjected to beating, torture, and abuse with an electric shock device by armed members of the Taliban.
The exact reason for this violent incident has not yet been officially clarified. However, several eyewitnesses say that the individual’s clothing style may have triggered the Taliban fighters, after which they reportedly attacked him.
According to witnesses, the Taliban members stopped the man, physically assaulted him, and then used an electric shock device to torture him. Witnesses also state that the victim was left in poor condition and was unable to move for some time following the incident.
Residents of the area have expressed concern over the increasing violence, saying that Taliban fighters in various parts of the city frequently engage in arbitrary harassment, abuse, humiliation, and violent behavior toward civilians, leaving people in a state of fear and insecurity.
This incident comes amid repeated reports of similar violent behavior by Taliban members against civilians, particularly in different districts of Kabul and other provinces, which have been raised by local sources and human rights organizations.
