Azerbaijan and Turkey are set to begin joint production of advanced “swarm drones,” according to reports, marking a new step in growing defense cooperation between the two allies.
Swarm drones represent a modern warfare concept in which multiple unmanned aerial vehicles operate in coordinated groups, allowing for large-scale simultaneous strikes and intelligent battlefield coordination. Military analysts say such systems are designed to overwhelm enemy air defenses through mass attacks and continuous pressure.
Swarm drone technology is widely considered cost-effective, highly efficient, and extremely difficult to intercept, making it an increasingly significant tool in modern military strategy.
Azerbaijan was among the first countries to successfully deploy drones on a large scale during combat operations in 2020, demonstrating the effectiveness of unmanned systems in modern conflicts.
