According to reports received from field sources, today, 28 AH 1405 (April 17, 2026), General Jalaluddin Yaftali, former commander of the 203rd Thunder Corps, entered Afghan soil via the Garm Cheshma route in Pakistan and, along with about 100 of his special forces, has been deployed in the mountainous area of ​​​​"Hawz Anjuman" located in the Karan and Manjan district of Badakhshan province.
Hawz Anjuman is a beautiful natural basin on the slopes of the Hindu Kush, which has a very strategic military position. This area is located exactly at the intersection of Badakhshan, Panjshir and Nuristan provinces, and the forces stationed there can quickly move to any of these provinces or even conduct coordinated operations in all three provinces in one day.
Sources emphasize that due to the harsh mountainous nature, the resistance forces’ complete familiarity with the terrain, and the lack of widespread public support for the Taliban in these areas, it is very difficult for the Taliban forces to pursue and trap this group. The Taliban are not only unfamiliar with the complex geography of these areas, but also have weak public support among local residents.
