The tourism industry in Panjshir province has grown significantly in recent years, and the province has become one of the most important domestic and foreign tourism destinations in Afghanistan.

According to statistics provided by the Panjshir Department of Information and Culture, in the past month alone, about 90,000 domestic tourists and dozens of foreign tourists have visited the province’s natural and recreational attractions.

Officials from the Panjshir Department of Information and Culture say that extensive efforts have been made to develop the tourism industry in the province in the last three years. According to the department, attracting projects to build restaurants for tourists, providing land for the construction of entertainment centers and restaurants, obtaining approval for the establishment of industrial parks, as well as surveying and stabilizing recreational areas are among the measures that have been taken to grow this industry.

The department also emphasized that creating appropriate facilities for domestic and foreign tourists, preventing harm to local residents, and ensuring national security are among the important priorities of the Panjshir local administration.

The governor of T-Alban in Panjshir also considered supporting the tourism industry as one of the effective solutions for economic growth and creating job opportunities for the people of this province. According to him, tourism development can help improve the economic situation of families and increase local incomes.

Local officials believe that the increased presence of tourists has led to the prosperity of local markets, increased sales of local products, more active hotels and restaurants, and the introduction of Panjshir's culture and natural attractions on a wider scale.

The leadership of T-Alban in Panjshir also announced that, based on the policy of this group, efforts are being made to reduce poverty and provide people with self-sufficiency within the framework of Islamic law and through economic programs.

Cultural and economic experts also believe that the tourism industry can play an important role in the rapid growth of the local economy and the creation of job opportunities for young people at a low cost. They emphasize that continued security and investment in tourism infrastructure can turn Panjshir into one of the most important tourist centers in Afghanistan.
