Allahgul Mujahid's son killed in shooting near Shahzada Palace in Kabul
A spokesman for the Taliban government's police in Kabul has confirmed an armed clash near Shahzada Palace in the center of Kabul, in which Ehsanullah, the son of Allahgul Mujahid, a former member of the Afghan House of Representatives, was killed.
According to the BBC, Khalid Zadran said that the clash took place today (May 24) in Zargaran Bazaar, located near Shahzada Palace. According to him, one of Allahgul Mujahid's bodyguards and two others, including a woman, were also killed in the incident.
Mr. Zadran added that one of the attackers, who was wounded, was arrested at the scene. Police forces have also arrested a member of Allahgul Mujahid's family on suspicion of involvement in the incident and investigations are ongoing.
A spokesman for the Kabul Police Command said that initial investigations indicate that the incident was the result of personal enmity.
Located near a number of important government buildings, Sarai Shahzada is one of the busiest and most sensitive areas in Kabul.
