Millions of Afghani Damage to Khost Farmers Following Heavy Hail

Heavy hail in Khost province has caused heavy damage to agricultural lands and irrigation equipment of farmers.

According to local residents, the rain occurred today, Wednesday, 30 Saur 1405, and has destroyed a large part of the ripe wheat fields. Farmers say the hailstones were unprecedentedly large, with some of them reaching the size of half an adult's hand.

Farmers also said that their solar irrigation systems and equipment were completely destroyed, and this event has caused them millions of Afghanis in damage.

Local residents have called on the responsible institutions to take immediate measures to compensate for the damages and support the affected farmers.
