A new report by the Global Peace Index shows that Afghanistan is still among the most unsafe countries in the world.

According to the report, Afghanistan is ranked 157th among 163 countries surveyed and is known as the seventh most unsafe country in the world.

The report states that the continued monopoly of the Taliban, political restrictions, reduced public participation and international isolation are among the factors that could pose serious challenges to Afghanistan's long-term stability and security.

The Global Peace Index also emphasized that achieving sustainable stability in Afghanistan requires the establishment of inclusive political structures, improving international relations and strengthening government institutions.

The report is being published at a time when Afghanistan continues to grapple with widespread security, economic and humanitarian challenges.
