Sanke Seddiqi, an Afghan citizen living in the Netherlands, has recently become a member of the leadership board of the Dutch Democratic Party D66 in the city of Zoetermeer.
Ms. Seddiqi wrote about her election on Facebook this morning (Thursday, April 11) and emphasized that she is committed to the active role of women in politics and democracy. Previously, Ms. Hussi Ander, an Afghan citizen and refugee in Germany, was able to become a member of the Frankfurt City Council.
