Unprecedented increase in robberies under Taliban surveillance in Kabul

Armed motorcycle-riding robbers in the Bagh-Bala area injured a Kabul resident, robbed him of his motorcycle, cash, and valuables, as well as his companions.

According to local sources, the incident occurred two days ago in the Bagh-Bala area of ​​Kabul, near a Taliban checkpoint. Eyewitnesses say that the attackers, who were riding two motorcycles, first blocked the road for the vehicle and then, threatening the driver with weapons, shot and wounded the driver and took away cash, mobile phones, and a number of valuables from the passengers.

Sources added that the robbers quickly left the area after committing the robbery, and their identities and fate are still unknown.

Local residents, expressing concern over the increase in criminal incidents in Kabul, say that such an incident near a Taliban checkpoint has raised questions about the city's security situation.

Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident.
