Three killed in lightning, severe storms in Kandahar
Kandahar – Local sources in Kandahar province say that three people, including an eight-year-old girl, have died in lightning strikes and severe storms in Arghandab and Maiwand districts.
The Taliban police command in Kandahar confirmed the incident and said that the incident took place on Wednesday evening, May 20, in the vicinity of Maiwand district. However, Taliban officials have not yet released details about the identities of the victims and the exact circumstances of the incident.
Local sources say that heavy rainfall, lightning, and storms in recent days have seriously affected the lives of residents of a number of Kandahar districts.
