EU's approach to Taliban sharply criticized

Hannah Neumann, a member of the European Parliament, called the Taliban's invitation to Brussels an act of ignoring the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

She stressed that the EU is giving the Taliban legitimacy and political importance instead of holding them accountable for human rights violations and extensive restrictions.

At the same time, some European countries are trying to deport undocumented Afghan migrants and return them to Afghanistan, a move that has raised widespread concerns about their safety and fate.
