Afghan Athlete Wins Bronze Medal in Asian Martial Arts Competition

Mohammad Qasemi, a young Afghan athlete, won the bronze medal in the Asian Martial Arts Competition for the ages 16 to 18.
Qasemi won the third place in the competition and the bronze medal in the 45 kg weight category after losing to a Tajik athlete and winning against an Indian opponent.
Meanwhile, Ruhollah Stanekzai defeated an Uzbek athlete in the 60 kg weight category and is scheduled to compete against his Kazakh opponent today.
Also, Fayyaz Ahmad Ebrahimi will compete today after losing one and taking a break.
The competition was hosted by Uzbekistan and was attended by athletes from more than 20 countries. The Afghan team consists of five athletes, a coach and an official delegation.
The aforementioned competitions began on May 16th and end today, Tuesday, May 19th.
