Meena Khan Doran, one of the officials of Ilm News, said that the media outlet is currently in a trial phase, and its official broadcasting is expected to begin in the near future.

The launch of Ilm News comes at a time when, following the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan, domestic media outlets and journalists have been facing widespread restrictions and pressure.
