Iran-US talks on the Strait of Hormuz; Diplomatic efforts continue

Kabul Times News: Noureddine Al-Dagheer, Al Jazeera correspondent in Tehran, says that the talks between Iran and the US on the Strait of Hormuz have once again reached a difficult stage and it seems that the process of talks has returned to the starting point.

According to him, in the current situation, “the ball is in Washington’s court” and Tehran may have concluded that the way of transit through the Strait of Hormuz cannot be determined solely based on US demands.

However, diplomatic and mediation efforts between the two sides are still ongoing and it is expected that these efforts will play a more important role in determining the path of the talks in the coming days.

Al-Dagheer has emphasized that mediation can be effective in reducing differences and determining the next path of the talks between Tehran and Washington.
