In response, the Afghan women's cricket team could not achieve the set target and, losing 9 players, scored only 97 runs at the end of 20 overs to end their first match with a defeat.
According to the schedule of the competition, the Afghan women's team will play against the Cambridge University team in its second match. This match is part of the team's preparation for participating in future competitions.
The Afghan women's cricket team is scheduled to play a total of five warm-up matches in the UK by early July, providing the team with an opportunity to improve coordination, improve technical readiness and gain international experience.
The Afghan Refugee Women's Cricket Team, which is made up of Afghan refugee players, has continued its activities in recent years with the support of international sports organizations and is trying to maintain its position in the women's cricket arena despite the existing restrictions.
