Media sources reported that the aircraft carrying Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez was forced to make an emergency landing in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, due to a technical malfunction while en route to Yerevan, Armenia.

The Spanish Government’s Communications Office stated that the incident occurred while an Airbus A310 carrying Sánchez and his accompanying delegation was heading to Yerevan to attend the European Political Community summit.
