Woman arrested for Taliban propaganda and lobbying in Germany

German police have arrested an Afghan woman on charges of creating disorder and propaganda in favor of the Taliban during a protest rally.
According to local sources, the woman, who had previously left Afghanistan, attended a protest rally in Europe and was accused by a number of participants of lobbying for the Taliban. Witnesses also claimed that she disrupted the order of the program with her behavior.
Reports indicate that German police forces intervened at the scene, arrested the woman and transferred her to the police station for further investigation.
The incident comes as the Taliban, after returning to power, have imposed extensive restrictions on women and girls in Afghanistan; restrictions that include deprivation of education, employment, social participation and many basic rights of citizens.
