Juma Khan Fateh was dismissed by the Taliban leader.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, announced that Haibatullah Akhundzada has dismissed Juma Khan Fateh, the deputy governor of Zabul, from his position and appointed Faizullah Tamim, the former head of the Department of Standards and Quality, as his replacement.

According to this announcement, no other position has been considered for Juma Khan Fateh in the new appointments.

This is while he was previously known as one of the most powerful and subordinate commanders in the Taliban structure, but disagreements sidelined him and he has left the Taliban government structure after nearly five years.
