*Afghan Shia Ulema Council calls for reopening of Khatam-ul-Nabiyyin Seminary and resuming activities of Tamadon TV*

Kabul Times News: The Afghan Shia Ulema Council has issued a statement expressing concern over the recent restrictions on holding Muharram ceremonies, the closure of Khatam-ul-Nabiyyin Seminary (PBUH) and the suspension of Tamadon TV broadcasts.

The statement states that the collection of mourning symbols from some mosques and Hussainiyahs, the arrest of a number of officials of religious centers and the suspension of the activities of these religious and media institutions have caused widespread concern among the Afghan Shia community.

While emphasizing the preservation of national unity and pursuing demands through legal channels, the Shia Ulema Council has called on the officials of the Islamic Emirate to pave the way for the reopening of Khatam-ul-Nabiyyin Seminary (PBUH) and the resumption of Tamadon TV’s activities as soon as possible.

The council has also announced that the aforementioned issues will be discussed with senior officials of the Islamic Emirate after the end of the Ashura ceremony, and the results of these discussions will subsequently be made known to the public.
