According to the published information, Maulvi Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, the Taliban's acting head at the Afghan embassy in Kuwait, met and talked with Abu Fahd Faiz Al-Baraka, the deputy head of the Kuwait Prisoners' Affairs Department, and the main focus of the meeting was to review the situation of Afghan prisoners and ways to solve their problems.

According to reports, in this meeting, the two sides held constructive and positive discussions on issues related to Afghan prisoners, which resulted in the release of 20 Afghan prisoners.

According to reports, these Afghan citizens will be transferred from Kuwait to Dubai tonight via Flydubai airline and then return to Kabul from there.

The Taliban Foreign Ministry appreciated this action, cooperation and humanitarian interaction of the Kuwaiti government, and considered it a positive step towards strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and addressing the problems of Afghan citizens living abroad.

The ministry has also emphasized that it will continue its efforts to protect the rights of Afghan citizens abroad, especially Afghan prisoners, and will use all diplomatic capacities to solve their problems.

Experts believe that the release of these prisoners can be an example of humanitarian and diplomatic cooperation between the Taliban and Kuwait and help develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
