Taliban: Do not sell any sex to "women without a mahram."
The Taliban group and Taliban officials in the provinces of Nangarhar, Laghman, and Ghazni have ordered shopkeepers not to sell any sex to women without a mahram.
According to sources, Taliban officials issued this order in recent days during their surveillance of markets and shops selling women's goods and accessories in the cities of Jalalabad and Mehtarlam.
A shopkeeper in Mehtarlam said that Taliban officials have warned that if the order is violated, shopkeepers will be imprisoned for four days and their shops will be closed for two weeks.
This is while the Taliban have systematically imposed sanctions on Afghan women in most provinces of Afghanistan, making life difficult for them and restricting their scope of activity.
