36 villages in Takhar cut off from road; bridge over Kokcha River collapses
Following the collapse of a bridge over Kokcha River in Qarluq area of Rastaq district of Takhar province, the road for residents of 36 villages to Taloqan city, the provincial capital, has been cut off.
According to local sources, the bridge, which was considered an important communication route for the people of the region, has been completely destroyed and residents are now facing serious problems in transportation, transporting patients and accessing basic services.
Local residents have called on government officials to take action to reconstruct the bridge and reopen the road as soon as possible, as the continuation of this situation has made people’s daily lives very difficult.
