Advocacy meeting on the situation of Afghan women
An advocacy meeting focusing on the situation of Afghan women was held on Wednesday, May 2, with the participation of a number of civil society, political activists, and representatives of international organizations.
The program was organized by the “New Generation Network for Change” and the “Freedmen in Exile Movement,” and participants emphasized the increasing restrictions against women, the deprivation of girls from education, and the exclusion of women from social and political structures.
Referring to the current situation, the speakers emphasized the need to continue advocacy, solidarity among civil society organizations, and drawing the attention of the international community to the situation of Afghan women.
At the end of the meeting, participants called for more serious support for women’s fundamental rights and continued joint efforts to improve their situation.
