Ukraine has announced that it will send a group of military experts to Lithuania and Latvia following a series of drone-related incidents in the region.
The announcement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after meetings with regional leaders in Bucharest. The move is aimed at strengthening security cooperation and improving capabilities to counter potential drone threats.
During his meeting with the President of Lithuania, both sides also agreed to expand cooperation under a framework known as the “Drone Deal”, which focuses on technical and military collaboration in the field of drone use and counter-drone systems.
Ukrainian officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance regional security and support allied countries in addressing emerging security challenges.
