The United Arab Emirates has denied circulating reports claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the UAE, or that the country hosted any Israeli military delegation.
Earlier, several media outlets, including The Times of Israel, cited sources alleging that Netanyahu traveled secretly to the UAE during the military operation known as “Roar of the Lion” against Iran. According to the report, Netanyahu met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on March 26 in the city of Al Ain, near the Omani border, and their talks reportedly lasted several hours. Netanyahu’s office also claimed that the visit led to a “historic breakthrough” in relations between Israel and the UAE.
However, the UAE strongly rejected these claims, stressing that its relations with Israel are public and conducted solely within the framework of the officially declared Abraham Accords, and not based on any unofficial or non-transparent arrangements.
The UAE stated that any reports about unannounced visits or undisclosed agreements are completely unfounded unless officially confirmed by the competent UAE authorities.
The UAE also urged media outlets to maintain accuracy and professionalism, and to avoid spreading unverified information or promoting misleading political narratives.
