Migration Tragedy; 14 Badghis Citizens Die on Iranian Smuggling Route

Nimroz – Kabul Times News: Fourteen Afghan citizens from Badghis Province, who had taken the illegal migration route to Iran to find work and escape economic problems, lost their lives in the scorching plains of Nimroz Province.

According to published information, these people died of thirst, hunger, and extreme heat while crossing the smuggling routes.

This incident once again highlights the deadly dangers of illegal migration and the consequences of the economic and livelihood crisis in Afghanistan; a crisis that forces a large number of citizens to choose risky routes every year.
