According to sources, the child, a resident of Waigal village, was studying at Daranur Central School. Sources claim that before his death, he had complained to his uncle about the behavior of one of the school teachers and said that he had been sexually abused by him. It is also said that he refused to return to school because of this issue.
According to this account, the child, who was an orphan and living under the care of his uncle, was sent back to school despite his concerns. Sources claim that he hanged himself from a tree on his way to school and died.
