Former Afghan police officer Talib Shah Dawlatzai shot dead by Taliban in Balkh after arrest

Talib Shah Dawlatzai, a former Afghan police officer who had gone to China to continue his studies after the fall of the republic and had recently returned to the country, was arrested by two Taliban intelligence agents from his home in Buka village, Balkh district, on Tuesday evening, August 26, according to his relatives, and then shot dead.

According to Talib Shah's relatives, the Taliban agents tied his hands and eyes during his arrest. They say that about an hour after he was transferred, his shot body was found on the outskirts of the village.
