Unknown gunmen kill Maimana traffic police officer

Faryab – Kabul Times News: Local sources in Faryab province report that a traffic police officer was killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in Maimana city, the provincial capital.

According to sources, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the first district of Maimana city. The attackers, who were two armed men riding a motorcycle, opened fire on Jamaluddin, a traffic police officer in the Khaja Ghayeb area. As a result of the attack, Jamaluddin died and his brother was also injured.

Witnesses say that the attackers fled the scene after the attack.
