Germany begins considering deportation of Afghan refugees without criminal records

Kabul Times News – Reports indicate that the German government is considering a plan to deport a number of Afghan refugees who do not have any criminal records or pose a security threat to the country.

According to the German newspaper “Taz”, this is the first time since the return of T/Alban to power in Afghanistan in 2021 that the German government is considering the possibility of deporting Afghan refugees without criminal records.

According to the newspaper, the plan could raise widespread concerns among Afghan refugees and human rights organizations, as the security situation, widespread restrictions on citizens’ rights and freedoms, and human rights conditions in Afghanistan continue to be issues of concern to the international community.

German authorities have not yet released further details about the number of people covered by the plan, its possible implementation date, or the government’s final decision.

This issue comes at a time when thousands of Afghan citizens have sought refuge in Germany and other European countries after the developments of 2021, and many of them are still waiting for their residency status and asylum cases to be determined.
