Breaking News | At least 9 killed, 6 injured in shooting at migrants on Herat-Iran border
Local sources tell Kabul Times News that on Tuesday evening, 29 July 1405, a number of Afghan citizens who were trying to illegally enter Iran from the border were targeted by unknown gunmen in the “Baniad” border area of Kohsan district, Herat province.
According to initial information, at least 9 people were killed and 6 others were injured in the incident. The condition of a number of the injured is reported to be critical.
As of the time of publishing this news, the identities of the perpetrators of the shooting and the motive for the attack have not been determined, and neither Taliban nor Iranian officials have commented on the matter.
