Zahir Aghbar, the Afghan ambassador to Tajikistan, has embezzled nearly $876,000 in government funds.
Javed Shole, a former employee of the Afghan embassy in Tajikistan, has alleged that Zahir Aghbar, the country’s ambassador, has embezzled nearly $876,000 in government funds.
Shole said: “After the fall of the republican regime, $876,000 was mistakenly deposited from the center to the embassy account, which the ambassador withdrew.” He also claimed that the ambassador had moved two cars and embassy property to his personal hotel.
Zahir Aghbar, however, has not yet responded to these allegations.
