Taliban Flog Women in Uruzgan; Women Arrested After Going to Market Without a Mahram
A video obtained by Kabul Times News shows that T-Alban forces have flogged several women in Uruzgan province for going to the market without a Mahram and then transported them to a detention center in a Ranger vehicle.
According to local sources, these women had gone to the market to buy Eid al-Adha; but the Taliban forces stopped them in front of the public, beat them and flogged them.
In the published images, the women can be seen being transferred into a military vehicle by members of the Taliban after a violent encounter. Sources say that this incident has aroused widespread reaction and concern among local residents.
T-Alban has not yet officially commented on this video and how these women were treated; But in recent months, there have been numerous reports of arrests, beatings, and severe restrictions on women in different parts of Afghanistan.
Women's rights activists say that the continuation of such attacks has further increased the pressure and restrictions on women in Afghanistan and severely limited their social presence.
We did not broadcast the video due to the Taliban's ugly behavior.
