New report of five Hazara civilians killed in Kabul; sources: victims were unarmed

Informed sources told Kabul Times News that Taliban forces on August 1, on the Kabul Airport Road, pulled five Hazara men, residents of Behsud, Ghazni and Logar, out of a car and opened fire.

According to the sources, the Taliban had previously claimed that the killed men were “robbers”; however, sources in the Taliban’s Interior Ministry told Kabul Times News today that the five were civilians and were not carrying any weapons.

These sources also said that the victims had no connection to armed activities.

However, the Taliban has not yet officially explained the incident and the claim that civilians were killed.
