Letter attributed to Taliban intelligence indicates allocation of $161,000 for operations in Badakhshan

Kabul – Kabul Times News: Two documents that have been published on social media as confidential documents attributed to the Taliban intelligence department report the allocation of a budget to cover the costs of military operations in the Yaftal Payin and Zibak districts of Badakhshan province.

According to the text of these documents, an amount of about $161,000 (equivalent to about 4 million Afghanis) has been earmarked to cover the costs of several days of military operations in these areas.

One of these documents lists individuals who have been introduced as collaborators or sources of information, along with the amounts paid. Another document contains instructions on how to spend the budget, attract the cooperation of local people, strengthen intelligence activities, and support security operations in the Yaftal Payin and Zibak districts.

However, the authenticity of these documents has not yet been independently verified, and no official entity, including the Taliban government, has commented on their content. Therefore, Kabul Times News cannot independently verify the authenticity of these documents and the claims made in them.
