Taliban Culture Minister: Opponents lack motivation and ability to fight Taliban
Kabul Times News | Kabul
Shir Ahmad Haqqani, the Taliban’s Minister of Information and Culture, in response to the recent clashes in Badakhshan Province, claimed that the group’s opponents lack motivation, ability and popular support to continue the war.

In a meeting with media officials in Kabul, he said that every war should be examined from the perspective of attackers, supporters, targets, shelters and the level of popular support, and claimed that by these criteria, “nothing significant has actually happened.”

Haqqani also described the situation in Afghanistan under Taliban rule as “good and unprecedented” and claimed that the people are cooperating with the Taliban administration.

These statements come at a time when in recent days, anti-Taliban groups, including the Freedom Front, have reported continued attacks and clashes in parts of Badakhshan Province. The Taliban have not officially confirmed the details of these clashes so far.
