According to reports,
First, four points in Tehran were attacked by airstrikes.
- The residence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran
- The house of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran
- Downtown Tehran.
At the same time, the Israeli Defense Minister announced that the country had launched a preemptive strike against the Islamic Republic.
He said at a graduation ceremony for officer cadets in southern Israel: "The Israeli government has launched a preemptive strike against Iran in order to eliminate threats against itself."
Images from Tehran's Jomhuri Street show columns of smoke rising from points in the area. Iranian media reported that initial reports indicated that several missiles had hit.
