As the United States celebrates Independence Day, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has formally invited US President Donald Trump to visit Pakistan.

According to the official Twitter account of the Pakistani presidency, the Pakistani people are eager to welcome Trump to Islamabad and consider hosting the US president an honor and an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump said in an interview with Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is likely to visit the White House next week for talks.

Referring to his relationship with Netanyahu, Trump said, “We have a great relationship,” adding, “He knows who the boss is.”

Pakistan's official invitation to Trump and the possibility of his meeting with Netanyahu come at a time when regional developments and issues related to security, bilateral relations, and US foreign policy are at the center of attention, and these meetings could have an impact on the process of diplomatic developments in the region.
