Permanent ban on the import of right-hand drive cars into Afghanistan
The Taliban government’s Ministry of Finance has announced that the import of right-hand drive cars into Afghanistan has been permanently banned, and from now on, these vehicles will not be imported into the country as spare parts, nor will stickers be issued for them.
According to the ministry’s announcement, all customs offices in the country have been instructed to remove the essential spare parts for right-hand drive cars that are currently in customs offices from Afghanistan within a maximum of one month.
The Taliban Ministry of Finance has emphasized that this decision is final and conclusive and will be implemented throughout the country without exception.
This measure comes despite restrictions previously imposed on the import and use of right-hand drive cars, but with the new decision, the import of these vehicles has been completely and permanently banned.
