Afghan athletes shine in South Asian competitions; Afghanistan wins 6 colorful medals

The Afghan national bodybuilding and fitness team won six colorful medals with its brilliant performance in the 16th South Asian competitions being held in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

According to the announcement of the Afghanistan National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, the country's national athletes have so far won two gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal.

In the gold medal category, Naseebullah Azimi and Maiwand Babakharkhel stood on the first podium. Also, Riaz Rahman Ehsan, Ahmad Habibi and Khawaja Rafi Siddiqui won silver medals, and Bilal Jalili also won a bronze medal.

15 athletes from Afghanistan are participating in these competitions and the competitions are still ongoing. The successful performance of the national team in the first days has raised hopes for Afghanistan to win more medals and record a brilliant record in these regional competitions.
